Mars Wrigley Confectionery is looking for a Continuous Improvement Leader for the Gainesville, GA site.

The Continuous Improvement Leader role leads the Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) journey in the value stream in order to drive improvement initiatives through the identification and elimination of waste. The leader works with team members to drive overall efficiency, cost, quality and safety improvements as we leverage our lean manufacturing journey. The role as well establishes standards and provides coaching and feedback to fellow associates in order to build capability in the Factory Mars Operating System (FMOS) and process control for the various areas in the site.

Principal Accountabilities

·  Lead, teach, and coach associates primarily through implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM)
·  Delivers Value Leadership in Conversion (VLiC) savings projects in the value stream in order to support organizational profitability and growth matrixes
·  Drive TPM training and implementation via the identified courses, while capturing losses and deploying root cause analysis and improvement actions with teams
·  Develop and implement metrics and visual indicators aligned with the Focused Improvement pillar
·  Develops Value Stream Loss Analysis
·  Benchmark and integrates best practices into Value Stream
·  Leads process changes and communicates those changes to leaders in the department in conjunction with Engineering, Maintenance, and Project Mangement leadership
·  Evaluate future capacity needs and make proposals for capacity improvements
·  Maintain accurate catalogue of process, product and packaging capabilities relevant to leveraging existing platforms for growth

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree in business, operations management, engineering or technical related field is required

· 5-7 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment with work experience in manufacturing production; 2 plus years of process improvement and/or continuous improvement roles in a TPM/Lean environment

· Lean/TPM toolkit application skills (value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Error proofing, SMED, team problem solving, etc.)

· Project management

· Production Processes

Must be capable of working various shifts and times to ensure success of all improvement projects.
