Commercial Strategy Co-Pilot

Salary - £43,700 - £54,600 + Bonus + Benefits

Location – Waltham on the Wolds, Leicestershire

As a Commercial Strategy co-pilot at Mars, you will play a key role in planning our 3 year strategy to grow our business. You will be responsible for ongoing analysis, governance, and tracking against all areas of Strategic Revenue Management which ultimately serve to improve the effectiveness of our investments and enable long term profitable growth. You will be responsible to co-pilot some of the worlds most loved Petcare brands alongside some of the UKs leading retailers.

In this role you will be:

·  Commercial modelling behind 3 year roadmap to deliver sustainable top line and profit growth for your brands and customer, utilizing key levers of SRM (strategic pricing, promotional optimization, pack and channel mix and trade terms architecture)
·  Collaborating with the team to diagnose performance, model and deploy within year solutions which improve our business performance where needed
·  Delivering promotional insights and learnings to the sales team and the wider business through analysis of promotional performance data, driving continuous improvements in ROI
·  Empowering our sales team to develop an effective promotional strategy (and wider investment plan) which are in line with business strategy and our learnings on effective customer investment
·  Continously improving our capabilities and effectiveness, utilising cutting edge analytics and data science

Ideally you’ll be degree qualified with experience working in an analytical environment or role (like finance, sales analyst, account management, or category management). Within this, you will have commercial experience and acumen, working with P&Ls and using these to making clear recommendations. You will have had to build collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders and although not required, may understand FMCG context having worked in the industry.
