Mars Wrigley is looking for a Business Operations Specialist – Albertsons based in Chicago , IL.
The Business Operations Specialist is responsible for enabling the customer team(s) they support with technical and administrative services. This includes but is not limited to the creation, maintenance and delivery of materials and services to support the sales team and enable them to deliver their commitments, responsibilities and objectives. Specifically A.M.P.S (Assortment, Merchandising, Pricing and Shelving) in accordance with each Mars brand strategy, promotional and seasonal programs and all other customer related activities needed in order to achieve the annual financial plan.
With a full understanding of the customer(s) business needs, processes, and systems, this role enables the customer team in all activity by performing the following functions:
· Enter all new items into the Customer deal management system, first making sure they are in Data Sync. There may be up to 3 submissions (the two regions and Corporate Banners)
· Enter promotional contracts (“deals”) for Corporate Banners, Two regions and downstream customers that are supplied by Super Valu.
· Maintain pricing and promotional deal information in customer system (SV Harbor) as needed
· Help with the creation of separate Trimester planners for all three regions with corporate deals on a period by period basis (and involve a separate Vendor Submission Form and display template per period)
· Seasonal - 3 separate submissions for each season based on item selection, new item set-up and deal date/rate variances; provides assistance with the Nav files/display templates (SV corporate Codes)
· Assists downstream CDM’s with their contract creation with occasional separate Harbor entries for some downstream accounts
· Stand-alone deal system for Lund’s Bylery’s (in addition to Harbor submission)
· Regional hot buys based on aged inventory or Mars “Hot Sheet”
· Telemarketing form creation and Harbor Submissions; Supervalu Expo and West Region Selling Shows items and deal submissions
· Provide Deduction resolution services using Mars systems – currently Siebel to clear deduction and Demantra for planning information
· Initiate Customer checks to avoid wholesale fees as applicable
· Write repay letters to Customers and follow up on same
· Resolve Customer post audit issues by adhering to Mars internal deduction clearing policy and financial best practices (days to clear, acceptable balances, etc.)
· Maintain all financial management records according to Mars policy
· Retrieve downstream score-carding/information via SMARTDock and supply to account manager
· Period end pulls – two in SMARTDock and 1 in Harbor
· Seasonal booked orders – two in SMARTDock and 1 in Harbor and usually 2-3 per season prior to final checkpoint, as well as shipment pulls after the season to assist in goal creation for the next year
· Shopper conversion events/new items – booked and shipment histories (2 in SMARTDock and 1 in harbor).
· Every pull needs to be created twice – in the booked order section and in shipment history for SMARTDock and recreated every time in Harbor.
· Contribute and support as required with sales team on tradeshows and other sales and customer specific projects, presentations, etc.
Key Functional Skills/Knowledge:
· Excellent organization and communication skills both written and verbal.
· Experience using salesforce.com
· Proficient in Power Point, Word, Excel,
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/tasks while working in a fast paced deadline driven environment.
· Experience preparing internal and external sales presentations.
Desired profile
Minimum Requirements:
· Bachelor's Degree
· 2+ years’ operations, administrative or analytical experience preferably in Sales, Category Management, and/or Finance
· Forecasting, Business Analytics & Customer-facing experience
· Consumer Packaged Goods Industry and/or experience with major retailers preferred
· Ability to travel 10% - 15% of the time as needed
· Successful completion of a drug & background screen
· Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
