Job description
We are currently recruiting for a 40 Hour Welcome Host to join our One Square, Food & Beverage Team at the Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa
The Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa is ideally located in the heart of Edinburgh’s financial and tourist area and is one of Scotland's leading 5 star hotels. As the largest 5 star hotel in the city with 269 bedrooms, we also have the biggest banqueting and meeting facilities with a capacity of up to 500 and the award winning One Square Restaurant. Additionally, the hotel operates the award winning One Spa™, one of Europe's premier advanced city spas.
The Role:
As an ambassador of our brand and our venue you will provide an upbeat and welcoming arrival and departure experience to the Hotel & Restaurant/Bar. You understand that creating a positive first and last impression to all guests is essential.
You will ensure that all guests receive a warm welcome and assist in providing a seamless service by effectively managing the seating plan and Restaurant diary. You will be expected to work a combination of early and late shifts. The role will also involve the service of F&B to guests who chose to relax in our lounge area.
Requirements :
If you are the right candidate, you will be naturally confident, outgoing and extrovert. Not to mention passionate about ensuring people have an enjoyable time. You will have a “can do” attitude and be someone who enjoys a challenge. You are keen to do whatever it takes to ensure guests leave happy and come back again and again. You thrive from working in a high pressure and high volume environment and can think and act on your feet.
Fluent spoken and written English is required along with good phone manner.
Computer skills and sound knowledge of Opentable & Outlook are required
Previous F&B serving & Barista skills are preferred.
