Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, VCA Hospitality Management, LLC. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

Responsible for the cleanliness of the kitchen and serving of the food in the cafeteria
General Hospitality Job Functions: 
–    Maintain the Resort’s customer service standards and uphold the mission statement through the strict follow-up of the hospitality rules
–    Maintain and abide by time clock rules, report to work area on time 
–    Always keep high grooming standards and keep the work area clean and organized
–    Wear, always maintain and follow uniform standards
–    Must become familiar and proficient in all aspects of the property, departments, locations, hours of operations, rooms, activities, etc. respond to guests accurately
–    Always use guest etiquette
–    Follow proper handling procedures of inquiries/requests and complaints standards and always maintain the guest satisfaction
–    Use proper telephone etiquette and answering techniques when answering the telephone
–    Anticipate guest’s needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests at all times
–    Maintain positive guest relations at all times
–    Follow proper emergency and safety procedures at all times

Typical Duties:
–    Sweeps and mops the kitchen on a daily basis at the beginning and end of the shift
–    Sweeps and mops the bar area on a daily basis
–    Washes all pots and pans
–    Cleans on a daily basis kitchen equipment
–    Cleans the cutting area on a daily basis
–    Cleans the BBQ Grill twice per week
–    Serves food in the cafeteria on a daily basis
–    Takes trash out on a daily basis or as frequent as required to the designated area
–    Cleans Ovens, Stove grills, walk-in freezers and hood twice a week during graveyard shift
–    Attends monthly departmental meetings
–    Any other reasonable duties as required
–    Performs other similar or related duties as necessary

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
–    Strong physical condition
–    Knowledge of sanitation standards
–    Pleasant personality
–    Team player
