Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Hospitality Ventures Management Group. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

What You’ll Be Doing

The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for effectively establishing and managing client relationships and accounts for their respective market segment, while assisting the Director of Sales in identifying new business opportunities for the hotel. The Senior Sales Manager is part of driving both team and individual revenue goals through managing existing client relations, solicitation of new accounts, and consistent networking efforts. Outbound sales individually and with other Sales Managers is a primary focus to develop awareness and relationships.

This person must create an exceptional climate of professional and personable service that ensures the long-term engagement of employees, guests, and owners.

Your daily tasks will include prospecting for new business, responding to incoming RFPs and inquiries, executing contracts, and communicating client expectations to the hotel team to ensure an excellent experience for internal and external partners.  

Education & Experience

Previous hotel sales experience required to lead the team in solicitation. 

Applicants should have:

A college degree or two years of hotel experience

Previous experience in a similar or related position

Additional consideration will be given to applicants who have completed special certifications with Marriott sales platforms.

·  Sufficient education and/or literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests about job-related needs.
