Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Sheraton Stockholm Hotel. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Your main responsibilities:
In your role, your main goal is to drive revenue growth and exceed hotel targets for both rooms, groups, F&B, conferences, and banquet business. Proactively uncovering new prospects and maximizing conversion of business. Representing Sheraton Stockholm and promoting the quality image of the hotel at every opportunity and uncovering additional leads for the hotel within Nordics and Internationally.
• Build and maintain strong relationships within an already existing portfolio of clients.
• Foster new client relationships and follow the sales process through to convert new client relationships into producing accounts.
• Develop and implement a strategic sales action plan together with our Head of Sales to achieve both personal revenue goals and the budgeted goals of the hotel.
• Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to increase sales especially in high-end leisure and MICE segment.
The role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Sales Manager with a strong network internationally, in particular in the Nordics. With the commencement of our renovation the hotel is set to enhance its position as one of the leading hotels in the city.
Your sales efforts will be focused on international markets, high-end leisure segment and to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to increase sales throughout our renovation and repositioning of the Sheraton Stockholm.
Experience & Skills:
• A minimum of three years in a hotel sales manager role within an international luxury lifestyle hotel brand or hospitality company.
• A strong understanding of industry standards, trends, and technical expertise.
• A well-established international network, particularly in the Nordics. Your network should include high-end leisure clients and international MICE buyers.
• In-depth knowledge of international MICE- and leisure segment.
• Proven track record in achieving targets and driving profitable business results.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; Swedish and a third language is beneficial.
• Energetic and innovative task approach, balancing attention to details, analytical thinking with hands-on action.
• Strong relationship-building skills with clients, peer groups, internal employees, and other stakeholders.
• Ambitious and results-oriented person who works well independently as well as in a team.
• Performs other duties, as assigned, to meet business needs.
Swedish work permit or work permit from another EU country is required.
The position is a permanent, full-time role following a 6-month probationary period.
Fixed monthly salary and a floating sales bonus program.
