W Sydney located at 31 Wheat Road is hiring a Senior Duty Engineer. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this integral role will be responsible for overseeing daily repair and maintenance activities, ensuring smooth and efficient operation of the hotels engineering systems. You will lead by example, provide hands-on support, and act as a key liaison between departments to facilitate timely responses to maintenance needs. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to; 

·  Executing strategies to maintain the building, contents and grounds with particular attention towards fire life safety, electrical systems, security and asset protection. 
·  Execute objectives outlined in Engineering Business Plan
·  Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations and HIDs (standard operating procedures).
·  inspect repairs and maintain HVAC, air quality control and refrigeration equipment
·  Maintain and conduct periodic inspections of the mechanical plant, systems and equipment. 
·  Monitor and control property temperature, analyse energy and utilities usage via the BMS. 
·  Assemble, install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems or electronic wiring
·  Assemble, install and maintain pipe assemblies, fittings and valves including routine pool and spa maintenance.
·  Drive synergies with key departments and stakeholders
·  Supports and innovates energy, water and waste conservation programs
