Sales Manager for Moxy Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport

The Sales Manager is accountable for proactively soliciting and handling sales opportunities, for Moxy Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport that supports business goals of the hotel. Your key focus will be proactively handle sales opportunities on the Transient and Group segments including corporate, airline and leisure for hotels by contracting local and national companies as well as ensuring inclusion in relevant global travel programs. You will work closely with the Marriott Global Sales Team as well as wider Hotel Co 51 Regional Sales colleagues to target global and local accounts in the Transient, Group, Leisure and Wholesale and airline markets. You will assist in leading all day-to-day activities related to driving demand with a focus on building long-term, value-based customer relationships that enable achievement of the hotel revenue objectives. Working closely with the hotel Captain in leading day-to-day activities including a specific focus on seeking out and securing opportunities for the hotel in low demand periods. We will be looking for someone who has proven experience in similar roles and ideally worked within a branded hotel structure. You will need to have a strong commercial outlook on sales and revenue and be VERY goal-oriented. The ability to be a self-starter will be critical to the success of this role. The role will involve moderate travel as required and the need to meet with clients in a formal virtual basis and in person (Covid permitting). You will report to Regional Director of Sales France & Belgium.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Build successful relationships that generate revenue opportunities

• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers for all managed segments.
• Provide travel accommodation with innovative solutions for customers.
• Work collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicated.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to retain customers and develop customer & partnership portfolio.
• Focus on identifying new customers and turning them into Moxy brand fans through innovative methods and channels on and off property to achieve monthly KPI.
• Drive Marriott Bonvoy Membership in all Travel programs and with Group Bookers.

2. Manage Sales activities

• Participate in individual and joint sales calls and sales blitz to acquire new and manage existing accounts and/or close on business.
• Activities include sales prospecting calls, physical prospections on and off property, sales blitz, Entertainment, forums, FAM trips, trade shows, etc. As required by RDoS.
• Proactively generate new leads for managed segments with potential for hotel’s revenue in rooms and F&B.
• Execute and support the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposals and contracts, customer correspondences in line with structure and procedure)
• Produce a detailed Sales Plan that accurately interprets the objectives of the business and maps out the actions and strategies required within the marketplace to support the positioning of the hotels with the support of direct line manager.

Support hotels and in particular the captains in forecasting, developing the business plan and budget as required.
• Proactively cross-sell hotels in other regions as assigned
• Support other departments in converting business proactively including groups and revenue.

3. Use knowledge of market trends and target customer information to maximise revenue

• Be knowledgable about local market trend, market analysis, benchmark, local competition. Conduct SWOT analysis, market and competitor benchmarks on a quarterly basis.
• Continuously research competitor properties to obtain market and rate intelligence and an understanding of business trends, the competition, and their key accounts. Utilise this intelligence to develop strategic plans, ensure the hotels remain competitive in the marketplace and to identify potential business to target.
• Serve the customer by understanding their business, business issues and concerns, to offer better business solutions.
• Maximise the hotel’s revenue by opting for strategic account management.
• Good knowledge about Roissy-en-France & CDG Market.

4. Provide exceptional customer service

• Support the company's service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Service our customers to grow share of the account.
• Interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels. 5. Manage Sales related activities
• Prepare monthly Business Review report and other reports as required to support Sales action.
• Monitor budget and sales performance of the hotel for all managed segments
• Update CRM and other sales files on a daily basis and as required.
• Review account behavior to set account management strategy.

The ideal candidate

• Has over 2 years pro-active sales experience in the Hospitality Industry
• Sales experience within Paris region with strong preference for Roissy-en-France.
• Strong network within Roissy-en-France.
• Preferable experience in Corporate, leisure and Airline segment.
• Sales Management within the Hotel / Serviced Apartment or Hospitality sector
• Exceptional working knowledge of various applications related to the role.
• Outstanding presentation skills
• Strong influencing and negotiation skills.
• Has worked in companies that were an integrated part of international organizations / lifestyle brands.
• Preferable experience working within the Marriott Sales structure.
• Is an EU-Citizen or unlimited EU-working permission holder
• Language Skills: excellent written and spoken French and English (3rd language is a plus)
• Is educated to Honours Degree Level or has diploma in hospitality industry.
• Is a team player with an entrepreneurial spirit.
• Has affinity with Moxy or lifestyle hotels and next generation travellers.
