Sales & Events Coordinator
We are seeking an experienced Sales and Events Coordinator to assist the Sales team by performing clerical and administrative duties related to guest and hotel communications.

Job Description: 
– Act as Liaison between Sales Manager(s) and clients in Sales Manager absence. Take booking inquiry information via phone and prepare proper paperwork.
– Use various computer word processing and other software packages to enter data, produce proposal, banquet event orders, contracts, correspondence, forms, memorandum and other documents. 
– Answer telephone and respond to caller inquiries and/or direct to the applicable person or department 
– Handle individual reservations for VIP clients and groups. Ensure that all arrangements, including billing and upgrades, are handled properly, coordinating with other departments through oral and written instruction.
– Coordinate all "turnover" group and Catering events to include updating clients on pick up and cut-off date information, producing banquet event orders and resumes, entering rooming lists, processing advanced deposits and final charges and supervising all Catering functions. 
– Maintaining group pick up information and process rebates/commission, as required 
– Assist with VIP gifts and coordination of client appreciation events 
– Participate in monthly volunteer activities 
– Organize, file and retrieve documents in appropriate binders in order to maintain essential records used in the department operation. 
– Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 
– Perform special projects and any other responsibilities as assigned.

Competencies:

– High School Diploma required. Some college coursework preferred. 
– Minimum 1 year of Hotel Sales & Catering department or previous administrative experience preferred. 
– Strong communications and computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office 
– Must possess outstanding organizational, interpersonal, administrative skills, and time management skills as well as excellent attention to detail. 
– Knowledge of Marriott software FOSSE and MARSHA preferred. 
– Must be able to work some evenings, weekends and holidays to oversee event execution and be on-site Hotel contact.

The hourly pay range for this position is $20.00 to $24.00.
