Position Summary
As a Rooms Operations Intern at St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, you are responsible for delivering a five star guest experience. Our guests visit us with expectations of attentive yet relaxed service where your personality and professionalism are delivered in equal measures. You can either make or break a guest experience depending on the service you provide. We are in the business of going above and beyond to create memorable moments for our guests and your role is key in executing this with every guest interaction.
Our Rooms Operations intern's job isn't just about giving guests a smooth check-in and check-out. Instead, we want to build an experience that is memorable and unique. Our Rooms Operations Intern takes the initiative to deliver a wide range of services that guide guests through their entire stay. They are empowered to move about their space and do what needs to be done. Whether processing operational needs, addressing guest requests, completing reports, or sharing the highlights of the local area, the Rooms Operations Intern makes transactions feel like part of the experience.
Responsibilities: Here's what your journey with us entails
· Addressing guests in a professional, positive, and timely manner.
· Welcoming and acknowledging each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible.
· Anticipating guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
· Staying up to date on what is going on in the locale and engaging guests in conversation regarding their stay, property services, and area attractions/offerings.
· Assisting other associates to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
· Tagging, storing, and retrieving luggage from luggage storage, providing guests with proper claim tickets for their luggage.
· Thanking guests with genuine appreciation and providing a fond farewell.
· Performing other reasonable duties as requested by Supervisors or Managers.
