The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc.  The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment.  If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Are you ready to be the heartbeat of exceptional guest experiences, where every detail matters, and every client and guest leaves with a smile? We are looking for a Rooms Coordinator to join our Events Team here at the Renaissance!

This position is a permanent full time salaried position with a minimum of 40 hours per week with a salary of $42,500 per year! 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB
We are on the lookout for an energetic individual willing to take a client’s event guest room experience from great to downright exceptional. This individual will weave relationships with the guests that foster not just satisfaction but outright loyalty to the Renaissance experience. You will be the go-to person for all guest requests and needs including but not limited to billing, group room coordination, and assisting the reception desk – you name it, you’ll own it. From pre-arrival communications to handling reservations for group booking requests, your keen eye for detail ensures seamless coordination with the events, accounting, and reception teams.

Some of your job duties will include:
Manage group bookings: Set up and maintain room blocks, handle reservations, cancellations, and updates across systems. Accommodate special requests and changes accurately and promptly.
Ensure accuracy: Review contracts, enforce minimums and concessions, and prepare precise billing after events.
Stay on top of deadlines: Remind clients about cut-off dates and ensure room blocks are finalized before deadlines.
Track and update: Maintain accurate projections, group histories, and event details.
Coordinate logistics: Work with clients on arrival/departure schedules and ensure proper staff coverage.
Keep teams informed: Share key details with all departments (style, reception, B&F) for seamless group arrivals.
Be present: Support the reception desk during major group check-ins.
Follow up: Handle outstanding payments and ensure accounts are up to date.
Collaborate: Attend meetings, adapt to changes, and tackle additional tasks as assigned.
Cover from Event Coordinator when sick or on vacation.
All other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BE CONSIDERED
High school diploma or GED; 2 years’ experience in hotels. 
Ability to work days, evenings and weekends as business demands
Previous Marriott experience an asset
