POSITION SUMMARY
Retail Analyst
This position deals with all the back end processes related to retail operations and is responsible for the ordering, receiving, payables and inventory control. Assist in the replenishment of merchandise to include special orders, perishables, fashion, and general merchandise in our Retail Shops. Take lead on all retail inventory preparations and attend shop inventories on a regular basis. Display merchandise in a neat, eye-appealing manner. Complete merchandise transfers as needed. Process all outgoing guest shipments. Assist with general merchandising and shop organization/ cleanliness. Maintain inventory control, storage organization and manage extensive data entry requirements.
Cover retail shops when required, greet customers when they enter the shop, offer assistance in locating merchandise, and respond to questions regarding merchandise. Restock items as necessary based on demand and to maintain the visual appearance of merchandise displays. Check expiration dates and discard expired items. Collect boxed merchandise from the container when they arrive, unpack merchandise from boxes, tag all items using “Data works”, and place in storage. This is a physical and analytical role.
The ideal candidate must have:
· An intermediate understanding of computer systems and proficiency in Windows Office
· Meticulously detailed and organized
· Excellent service with internal and external guest
· Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
· Ability to multi task, deal with a demanding workload and deadlines in a fast paced work environment
· Ability to reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop and carry objects up to 50 pounds
· Ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time
· Strong accounting / financial skills.
· Maintained a professional appearance, language and behavior
· Available to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends
· Available to work in an indoor and outdoor environment.
Greet customers when they enter the shop, offer assistance in locating merchandise, and respond to questions regarding merchandise. Display merchandise in a neat, eye-appealing manner. Restock items as necessary, check expiration dates, and discard expired items. Keep storeroom neat and clean. Complete customer purchases, process all payment types, and process returns, refunds, and exchanges. Verify customer identification as required. Maintain appropriate cash levels in cash drawer, turn in all property monies and receipts, and ensure deposits/cash drops are verified. Follow checklist for opening and closing shop. Secure shop and monitor customer activity to prevent losses due to merchandise theft and damage.
Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests’ service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; move, lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
