POSITION SUMMARY

 

Quadro, the flagship restaurant at The Westin Dragonara Resort, is a contemporary brasserie specializing in simple, homemade food with a focus on select fresh, local produce with a light and healthy twist. The culinary approach follows a minimalist philosophy that reveals the purity of premium ingredients in their natural state, maximizing on both flavor and nutritional benefits.  Enriched by its prime location and accomplished service from the skilled team, the wholesome menu is enhanced by a range of regionally inspired crafted cocktails and library of fine wines.

We are looking for a creative and motivated Sous chef to join our talented team. The Sous Chef will uphold the Restaurant Head Chef’s culinary vision for the restaurant with an eye for quality, taste, and presentation.  In doing so, the Sous Chef is to provide the other team members with consistently strong direction, so they can elevate our menu to the highest dining experience possible, whilst ensuring the achievement of culinary standards and procedures.  In this role, s/he will exhibit culinary talents by personally performing culinary tasks and at the same time supporting the Restaurant Head Chef to lead the Quadro kichen staff and managing all food related functions.  .

 

Requirements:

·  Higher Diploma in Culinary Arts/ Food Preparation & Production or related qualification
·  Minimum of two years’ work experience in a similar role in the Culinary area
·  Experience in pastry/desserts will be considered an asset
·  In possession of strong leadership skills as well as sound communication skills
