Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Oversee all daily pub operations including bar, floor, and service functions.
Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen, bar, and service teams for timely and high-quality delivery.
Maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and authenticity in line with Irish pub standards.
Manage inventory levels, stock rotation, and ordering of beverages and supplies.
Financial & Sales Performance
Achieve revenue and profitability targets through effective cost control and upselling initiatives.
Analyze sales reports, monitor budgets, and implement strategies to increase average checks and reduce wastage.
Develop and promote themed nights, live entertainment, and special events to boost footfall and brand visibility.
Guest Experience
Ensure exceptional service and a warm, welcoming atmosphere consistent with Irish hospitality.
Handle guest feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
Maintain high standards of product quality and presentation.
Team Leadership
Recruit, train, and motivate staff to deliver professional and friendly service.
Conduct regular briefings and ensure adherence to service and grooming standards.
Schedule and manage staff performance, attendance, and development.
Compliance & Standards
Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
Adhere to licensing laws and hotel operating procedures.
Work closely with the hotel’s Food & Beverage management to align pub operations with hotel objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within an Irish pub or upscale bar, ideally within a hotel setting.
Strong knowledge of beverages (especially beers, whiskeys, and cocktails) and Irish pub culture.
Proven leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication and guest relations abilities.
Proficiency in POS systems and inventory management software.
