Job description

JOB SUMMARY                                                                                                                

As a swimming pool technician, you would make sure that the water is clean and safe for guests at 24 hours. He should service and maintain swimming pools, spas and hot tubs at the hotel premises.

You would also install and service water cleaning, filtering and purification equipment which is used for maintaining the pools. Additionally maintain the pool area in a clean, orderly fashion while assuring all pool safety rules and regulations are enforced.

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

·  Experience: Minimum 3 years of related work experience.
·  3 years hotel engineering work experience. 

SPECIFIC DUTIES 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:

Swimming Pool Cleaner Duties and Responsibilities:

·  Check the swimming pools water quality and chemical level twice day and 15 days complete test. Report has to be verify by technical foreman or chief engineer and to be submitted health & safety officer end of the day to upload DM website.
·  Carry out deep cleaning of the pools as per scheduled and make sure pools tiles are in good conditions.
·  Transports and stores hazardous chemicals.
·  Picks up trash and cleans around swimming pools, restrooms and around suite.
·  Diagnoses, repairs and maintains guest room / main swimming pools, water systems, filter systems, and to be keep clean and tidy always pool pump rooms your responsibility area.
·  Maintain the proper chemical balance for the pool.
·  Maintains the pH and Chlorine values for good water quality as per DM rules and regulations.
·  Maintain the pool and all water features using proper chemicals and cleaners.
·  Maintain the pool pumps and filters.
·  Maintain the pool area including cleaning of the deck and other maintenance tasks.
·  Respond to swimming pool related work orders in a timely, friendly and efficient manner to assess and repair non-functioning machinery or equipment.
·  Repairs and maintains electrical and mechanical equipment.
·  Transports and stores hazardous chemicals.
·  Carrying out scheduled water cleaning, using chemicals like chlorine.
·  Regularly testing swimming pool water quality and pH balance.
·  Tests the chemical levels in guest room swimming pools and other water systems and adjusts as needed.
·  Maintains manual or automated records of all activities and prepares daily / 15 days records.
·  Picks up trash and cleans around swimming pools, restrooms and around suite.
·  Operates and inspects equipment and makes sure all the equipment are in good working conditions.
·  Cleaning and servicing swimming pool filtration units.
·  Servicing of the solar heating system and maintain in good conditions at all time.
·  Makes sure under water light are in good working conditions.
·  Use swimming pool vacuum cleaners to clean the pool floor.
·  Checking and repairing corrosion, cracks and leaks in the pool walls or floors if any report direct to the duty supervisor.
·  Use a telescopic pole with net to clean and remove any leafs or derbies.
·  Making sure equipment like pool covers, diving boards and slides are in good working order
·  Logging and reporting equipment faults or water quality problems to duty supervisor / chief engineer.

Prerequisites:

Must be efficient, organized, personable, poised and well groomed. Must have experience in pool, spa and fountain maintenance including chemical use, chemical level testing, pump, equipment maintenance, pool plumbing and all other related items.
