Sustainability Project Management and Breakthrough Leadership Training; Americas Managed Hotels, all brands.
Responsible for planning, organizing and delivering all training and pre-opening training schedules and processes to Regional team and/or property leadership team, in order to best provide pre-opening and on-going Breakthrough leadership Training (BLT)/University (BLU) training to support for all Marriott brand hotels as well as existing Hotels and units Work with and motivate a diverse group of individuals including hotel staff, business owners, many different Marriott departments and other outside resources. Adjust training program delivery to meet the needs of these diverse groups. Identify and analyze training needs based on brand standards, new initiatives and trends. Assist with the modification and improvement existing training programs.
EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS
IMPLEMENTATION OF BLT/ONGOING BLT/BLU TRAINING
� Facilitate in key date/preparation calls d with senior leaders including regional team and property General Manager review training outline, requirements prior to arrival and expectations with ownership groups, above property leaders and property leaders prior to arrival on property to ensure readiness for training. Communicate with property leaders following preparation call and prior to arrival on property with detailed training inform.
� Stay abreast of current and upcoming initiatives related to BLT and Six Sigma.
� Assess areas of training focus at each assignment to assist in the improvement of WIG scores below the established threshold for sustainability.
� Conduct training sessions with hotel staff covering Breakthrough Leadership Training.
� Facilitate training with hotel management and associates covering Breakthrough Leadership Training.
� Facilitate Breakthrough Leadership Training to prepare properties with an enhanced skills set for key components of Breakthrough Leadership.
� Facilitation of BLT indoctrination, BLT history and BLT culture for all staff and management.
� Passion for understanding customer behavior and point of view.
� Ability to express the vision of multiple brand personalities.
� Upon arrival at property, assess property readiness from a training and construction standpoint.
� Certify that leaders on property have enhanced skill set to execute and sustain Breakthrough Leadership.
� Partner with Sr. Director Breakthrough Leadership SustainmentImplementations and Trainings Communicate area of concern with appropriate leadership.
� Maintain training content and constantly look for ways to improve training guides, manuals and training procedures.
� Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids (PowerPoint), and other educational materials.
� Act as liaison between America's BLT team and Six Sigma team will participate in educational opportunities within Six Sigma.
� Facilitate training sessions as outlined in Breakthrough Leadership University to red band, blue band, and yellow band (GM) leaders.
� Communicate with hotel leader upon confirmation of assignment, review travel details and readiness. Provide property leaders with the resources to obtain the required training materials and other training related supplies/resources (i.e. Training requirements).
� Facilitate BLT Cultural indoctrination, Marriott history and brand culture for all staff and management.
� Execute training with leadership and staff to insure they are familiar with BLT resources and requirements
� Maintain training content and constantly look for ways to improve guides, manuals and training procedures.
� Develop and organize training manuals, multimedia visual aids (PowerPoint), and other educational materials.
� Participate in check point calls prior to hotel implementation or training and provide continuous training support.
� Influences property leadership teams.
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
� Oversees (direct report) BLT Project Manager (red band): day to day activities and provides guidance in successfully executing projects.
� Take assigned projects from Senior Director and determine project plan, execution and delivery of project.

EDUCATION AND PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATION
� High school diploma or GED; 4 years' experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
OR
� 2-year degree from an accredited university in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years' experience in the culinary, food and beverage, or related professional area
� Minimum of three years Marriott hotel operations experience required
� Expert knowledge of BLT and the culture of all Marriott brands
� CALA experience preferred
� Prior experience with Covey 4DX/Breakthrough Leadership Training preferred
� Working knowledge of Guest Voice preferred
� Proven success of hotel operations business matrix
� Proven experience and knowledge of the balanced scorecard: House Profit/GSS/Market Share
� Strong consulting skills and ability to interface with senior business leaders
� Strong program and project management skills
