Job Summary
Maintain content for Marriott.com and its international websites using the content management system. This role liaises with and takes direction from the Content Management team in the eCommerce Department at Corporate. Responds to inquiries from content stakeholders and website users regarding content and functionality of Marriott websites.

SUMMARY DESCRIPTION :
Maintains content for Marriott.com and its international websites using the Vignette content management system. This role liaises with, and takes direction from, the Content Management team in the eCommerce Department at Corporate. Responds to inquiries from content stakeholders and website users regarding content and functionality of Marriott websites. Provides front-line support for Marriott.com, ritzcarlton.com, and marriottgolf.com in modifying their websites. This team receives requests to upload creative assets (such as images and interactive Flash files), make text updates, and facilitate functionality changes.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES :
1. Maintains and updates existing content on Marriott.com and its corresponding sites using the Vignette content management system.
2. Receives most work in the form of PSS tickets through Rational ClearQuest, the system currently used for tracking site defects. Works tickets based on the established priority (1,2,3,or 4) and follows the protocol for updating the tickets to the proper state when the work is performed.
3. Responds to inquiries from content stakeholders and website users regarding content and functionality of their respective sections of the Marriott web sites.
4. Works within the metadata structure of Marriott.com to create metadata entries for each new element on the site.
5. Conducts quality assurance on personal and others' work to ensure the site meets quality standards, including visual and functional QA and proofreading.
6. Ensures all updates made on Marriott.com adhere to the current style guide and glossary.
7. Ensures adherence to branding guidelines and marketing objectives.
8. Implements Search Engine Optimization (SEO) content entries.
9. Follows established processes for making updates to content on Marriott.com to ensure there are no incidents involving missing or garbled content on the pages being updated.
10. Maintains Marriott's highest standards for quality focusing on both content and presentation.
11. Exercises independent discretion and judgment when modifying content instances on Marriott.com.
12. Follows established escalation procedures when unable to resolve or implement the requested content change.
13. Meets or exceeds individual service levels, targets and team goals.
14. Participates in other critical areas within the ICC department, as needed, including responding to routine emails and telephone inquiries.
15. Maintains a professional demeanor, both in personal appearance, work area and all interactions with guests, hotels, peers, and management.
16. Performs a variety of other duties as directed by Management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
· No more than 5 occurrences or 2 notifications on file
· No active written warnings in the last 90 days
· No written warnings or counseling on file for non-servicing, negative interaction or professional demeanor within the last 12 months.
