Location
The iconic Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, Gold Coast, is surrounded by lush tropical gardens and sparkling blue lagoons, comprising 295 guest rooms and suites, 9 meeting venues, four restaurants and bars in an absolute beachfront environment.
The Role
Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Executive is responsible for the execution of all marketing and communication activities undertaken by the resort, including branding compliance, production and placement of advertising, online marketing, electronic and direct mail, public relations, social media, database management, partner marketing activities, promotional tracking and maintenance of the sales and marketing action plan.
The Key responsibilities include:
Social Media
·
Monthly social media content creation & planning aligning with brand and positioning strategy for hotel and destination. You will be responsible for telling the stories of the hotel through social media, ensuring that the monthly calendar is robust in telling stories, informing and inspiring guests. You will work with the different departments throughout the property to ensure that the goals of the hotel are being met throughout all owned social media channels including Instagram x 2 (Resort & wedding account), Facebook x 2 (Resort & weddings account) and Linkedin.

Copywriting, content selection, content creation (photography skills a bonus) and content planning to tell the story of the hotel whilst creating a cohesive feed

Upload monthly content calendar via Marriott approved software, ensuring the entire month’s content is uploaded before 20th of each month.

Creating and designing ad hock social stories that are on brand and informative for reactive sales.
·
Monitor and respond to engagement on all social activities and reviews, with personalised responses including Trip Advisor, Booking.com, Expedia and Google.
·
Content creation including photography and videography and Instagram reels.
·
Ensure that content is always up to date and relevant, flagging to the Marketing Manager when new content is needed.
·
Ensuring that information across all social media channels is up to date and accurate.
·
Creating Facebook events and offers for all Resort events and promotions.
·
Influencer and user generated content engagement
·
Daily community management, including review management
·
Analysis of social media analytics and reporting monthly with end of month Social Marketing report.
·
Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
Marketing
·
Co-ordinate design and printing of promotional collateral as directed by Marketing Manager.
·
Assists with other marketing co-ordination and administration as required.
·
Arrange internal signage and promotional flyers.
·
Communicating with other departments as needed for operational and promotional updates.
·
Support photoshoots when required by Marketing Manager.
·
Updating Marriott programs and third party directories with Resort offers, promotions and implementations.
·
Supporting other marketing initiatives when required by Marketing Manager.
·
Assist with managing external digital marketing copywriter.
·
Prepares reports and presentations at request.
·
Communicate with other internal departments and external agencies when required by Marketing Manager in their absence.
To be successful in this position, you will have:

At least 1 year of related work experience preferably in the hospitality industry
·
Bachelor's Degree in a related field
·
Strong computer skills including basic website design experience
·
A high level of efficiency and organisation
·
Meticulous attention to detail
·
The ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment
