Job Overview:

 

The Marketing Communications Assistant and Digital Media Strategist (MCADM) directly reports to the Director of Marketing Communications. MCADM is a member of the Marketing Communications (Marcom) Team, under the Sales & Marketing Department. MCADM is responsible for providing a broad range of Marcom support. The main set of duties and responsibilities includes working collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to create Comprehensive Marcom strategies/plans. Serves as liaison officer who coordinates Marcom projects with different internal and external stakeholders: hotel executives, teammates & requesting parties, media, partners, and vendors for the management and production of Marcom materials/media such as company owned websites and social media pages maintenance/development and optimization, and other complimenting/relevant collaterals. Reviews and edits existing Marcom materials to maintain/surpass the sets of Marcom targets or goals, cross-selling implications, and equally important, adherence to global brand standards. Works on assigned job-related tasks outside standard duties within personal and professional boundaries.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

ADMINISTRATIVE FUNCTION

Operational

·  Directly reports to the Director of Marketing Communications
·  Establishes Balanced Scorecard with the Director of Marketing Communications
·  Forecasts and Manages Marketing Budget
·  Handles processing of Discount-Complimentary-Upgrade-and-House-Use (DCUH), Purchase, Payment, Reimbursement and Billing statements  
·  Assesses Job Orders coming from Requesting Parties for brand standard compliance and document completeness.
·  Documents deliverables using the Action Log for project tracking
·  Maintains a shared folder of all approved/finalized press and broadcast releases, advertisement, advertorial, talking points and speeches, and program scripts
·  Calls for a once-a-week alignment meeting of members of the Marcom Team every Monday morning.
·  Calls for a once-a-month story conference (StoryCon) for each to cluster properties to brainstorm and to share latest trends to aid copy and editorial content development

Report Generation

·  Monitors and Updates Annual Balanced Scorecard
·  Collects and Collates information for inclusion in the Monthly Accomplishment Report
·  Prepares and Presents Monthly Accomplishment Report (BSC MDS, PLUS, OS, Media Evaluation, Highlights, In-the-Pipeline) and provides insights/recommendations to Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager.

BUSINESS COMMUNICATIONS

 

Marketing Communications 

·  Formulates Comprehensive Marketing Communications Plans
·  Writes editorial and advertising copy
·  Proofreads editorial and advertising content to ensure correctness/accuracy of information, spelling, punctuation, grammar, use of appropriate words on owned, paid, and earned media for final approval of Director of Marketing Communications prior to release or implementation.
·  Assesses and makes recommendations on how to calibrate editorial and advertising copy strategies based on actual performance and data driven insights.
·  Formulates, details and implements Marketing Communications activities
·  Arranges, assists and/or manages photography and videography of products and documentation of events for archiving and publicity purposes using owned, earned and paid media
·  Dispatches weekly press releases and monitors news pick-ups
·  Places/Buys advertisement/advertorial and monitors actual publication
·  Supports the company and its Crisis Response Team (CRT) in terms of Crisis Communications Management which includes news monitoring, drafting of holding statement and online and on-ground media management.

Stakeholder Relations 

·  Gains, establishes and maintains strong collaborative relationship  with internal and external stakeholders including groups/departments and individuals in the company, Media (Traditional, Digital, Content Creators), and various relevant partners and suppliers.

DIGITAL MEDIA

eCommerce

·  Formulates Digital (Owned, Paid and Earned) Media Strategy Plans
·  Ensures that Digital (Owned, Paid and Earned) Media Strategy Plans are cleared with the Director of Marketing Communications before being circulated to the requesting parties, and EXCOM when necessary, and implementation.
·  Executes and ensures the timely delivery of approved Digital Media Strategy Plans.
·  Maintains, audits and updates Digital ((Owned, Paid and Earned) Media Platforms/Ecosystem
·  Assesses and makes recommendations on how to calibrate advertising and editorial copy strategies based on actual Digital performance.

 

Social Media

·  Formulates and implements with the Social Media Strategist, Social Media Strategy Plans
·  Co-manages and maintains strong visibility in official owned Social Media Pages (Facebook. Twitter, Youtube, Linked-In) 
·  Researches and recommends list of Content Creators/Key Opinion Leaders to strategically engage with to help create awareness and interest to hotel’s goods and services.
·  Earns, engages and retains strategic relationship with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and content creators

·  Follows property specific procedures for handling emergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, natural disasters). 
·  Follows company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
·  Identify and correct unsafe work procedures or conditions and/or report them to management and security/safety personnel. 
·  Reports work-related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.

·  Anticipates guests' service needs, including asking questions of guests to better understand their needs and watching/listening to guest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.

Education/Certification or Experience:
