JOB SUMMARY
The Market HR Manager will report to a designated DHR representing the Full-Service hotels in market and will focus on delivering Human Resources services that meet or exceed the needs of employees and enable business success, as well as driving compliance with federal, state and local regulations and company operating procedures. The Market HR Manager primarily works in partnership with the Directors of HR in area to represent Marriott as the Employer of Choice. This role ensures relationships are maximized with all local resources for external talent, including CBOs / GBOs, and analyzes the impact of local recruiting efforts in order to identify and focus on key relationships/partnerships. Responsibilities may evolve based on market HR priorities and needs.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
• High school diploma or GED; 2 years experience in the human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
OR
• 2-year degree from an accredited university in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related major; experience in human resources, management operations, or related professional area.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
Leading Relationship Building Efforts with Local Organizations and Individuals
• Executes pro-active relationship-building strategy with community-based organizations (CBOs) and government-based organizations (GBOs) to enhance Employer Brand in marketplace and drive additional applicant flow.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with local sources/resources of external talent.
• Attends job fairs and ensures documentation of outreach efforts in accordance with Human Resource Standard Operating Procedures.
• Networks with local organizations (e.g., Hotel Association and peers) to promote awareness of Marriott’s talent needs for current or future openings.
• Maintains and identifies new and creative locally-based relationship recruiting sources.
• Prepares a calendar of events monthly/annually of all on and off-site events.
• Promotes positive representation of hotels in the employment marketplace.
• Produces quarterly reports for market stakeholders.
• Conducts other relevant duties as assigned by manager.
Hybrid position.
The hourly pay range for this position is $29.37 to $43.80.
