Job description

Position Summary
The Manager, International Hotel Development supports the growth of Marriott International’s portfolio across the Middle East & Levant region. This role is responsible for identifying, evaluating, structuring, and closing new hotel development opportunities, working closely with internal stakeholders and external owners, developers, and investors.

The role requires a strong commercial mindset, relationship-building skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.

Scope

·  Location: Dubai
·  Language Requirements: English (fluent, written & spoken); Arabic strongly preferred
·  Role Type: Individual Contributor
·  Travel: Regular travel within the region and internationally as required

Key Responsibilities

·  Identify, pursue, and evaluate new hotel development opportunities (new build, conversion, and adaptive reuse)
·  Build and maintain strong relationships with owners, developers, investors, white-label operators, and local authorities across the region
·  Lead and coordinate the internal development process, including feasibility analysis, site inspections, valuations, approvals, and contract execution
·  Prepare and deliver presentations and business cases for internal approval committees
·  Lead negotiations for management, franchise, and related agreements
·  Work cross-functionally with legal, finance, design, and operations teams to successfully close new deals
·  Support owners and developers, as required, in identifying financing solutions
·  Represent Marriott International at relevant industry events and maintain a strong market profile
·  Contribute broadly to Marriott’s growth strategy across Middle East and EMEA

Candidate Profile
Experience

·  2–5 years of experience in real estate, hospitality, or hotel development
·  Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel advisory, development, or related roles
·  Experience with franchised and managed hotel transactions in the Middle East

Skills & Competencies

·  Strong communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal
·  Solid understanding of hotel development transactions and deal structures
·  Strong regional market knowledge of the Middle East & Levant
·  Proven ability to manage multiple projects under tight timelines
·  Excellent relationship-building skills with internal and external stakeholders
·  Proactive, energetic, and commercially minded approach
·  Comfortable working in a small, collaborative, high-performing team
·  Willingness and flexibility to travel at short notice when required

Education or Certification 

·  University degree in Real Estate, Hotel Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
