The Glasgow Marriott Hotel have a fantastic opportunity for a Leisure Club Associate to join our Leisure Club Team on a part time permanent basis (30 hours over a 4 day working week).

The impact you'll make
You will enjoy providing a high level of service and customer care to all Leisure Club customers, whilst maintaining an accurate booking system to achieve maximum guest and member satisfaction and the smooth running of the department. You will ensure the pool is manned at allocated times, and safe and proper rules are maintained for pool users.

Job Summary
Operate switchboard and deal with messages and enquiries when required, to the Company standard. To welcome guests on arrival to required standard, and ensure their details are entered into the computer correctly and efficiently. To promote the Leisure Club ambience for Members and visitors to increase the appeal of the Leisure Club. To liaise with the Leisure Manager on a regular basis, with regard to any administrative or special duties, and attend team meetings when required. To ensure that a high level of customer care is maintained at all times, especially when under pressure. To adhere to Leisure Club rules at all times. To ensure that cashing up procedures are adhered to at all times ensuring that all monies and charges are correctly balanced, and security checks are made according to laid down procedures. Pool lifeguard duties at specified times during the week, ensuring the pool users are informed of the normal operating procedures. At times relevant, initiating the Emergency operating procedures. Responsible for the maintaining of the gymnasium facilities, when not on poolside duty. Maintaining a high standard of customer care within the Club at all times. Motivating members to participate within the Club's activities. Observing use of equipment and assisting members in correct skills and technique for the physical exercise stations. Motivating the users within the Club, maintaining a high standard of relationship for the Company and promoting the Club's services and operations. To conduct Gymnasium inductions for the general use of the equipment. To attend regular training days for the maintenance of pool lifeguard skills/qualifications.

Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; protect company assets. Anticipate and address guests' service needs; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Reach, bend, twist, pull, and stoop; move, lift, or carry objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

The ideal person will need to have the following experience, knowledge and skills:
·  Previous bar experience is essential
·  Experience working in a high volume and fast paced environment
·  Cash handling (able to operate a till and card machine)
·  Familiar with Licensing Laws
·  Able to provide extra level of service and product knowledge
·  Good customer service skills and ability to deliver high quality service and interact with all types of customers

·  Previous banquet serving experience is a big plus
