Job Summary
- Provide assistance and a warm welcome to all guests, day visitors and leisure members - giving a detailed induction of facilities, programmes, procedures, prices and how to use the equipment in a safe and effective manner
- To ensure the effective operation of the day to day pool operation
- Provide members with regular programme reviews ensuring that they are meeting their goals, as part of Marriott's Health Fitness Orientation process
- Maintain a clean, safe gym and pool environment - keeping the machines clean. in good working order and provide excellent customer service. Being responsible for the pool operations as per the wet facility resource manual
-Carry out all aspects of the Marriott Leisure Sales Process, ensuring all documentation relating membership is entered into Concept and is always accurate, integrity is maintained and prospect generation is maximised
-To achieve designated Hotel Profit Margins; generating turnover against cost of sales, by promoting and generating membership leads
-Proactively research the leisure market in order to keep up to date with current trends and activities including SWOT analysis
- To proactively target all areas of the business and create sales initiatives, implementing these across all areas of the leisure business
- To ensure successful day-to-day running of leisure member events and social events; to be the host to all organisers and ensure attention to details at all times
- To generate awareness of the club within the local catchment area
- Ensure the class booking system is organised and that the correct book procedure is adhered too
- Ensuring all tasks on your day sheet are complete
- Have an ability to be adaptable and take on additional responsibilities in the leisure department, using your skills to perform reception duties and provide cover.
Additional Duties
Wipe down fitness center machines and remove towels, trash, and debris from fitness center area. Maintain an adequate supply of cups and water in recreation area. Clean fitness and recreation area restrooms and showers. Obtain, fold, and stack towels according to company procedures. Distribute lockers and towels to guests. Conduct inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment and inform supervisor/manager of low supply items. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members. Provide assistance to injured guests until the arrival of emergency medical services. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.

Level 2 Gym Instructor Essential

Level 3 Personal Trainer Preferred
