We are currently looking for a Junior Sous at the Residence Inn by Marriott Aberdeen to join our small but mighty team!

We are looking for a CDP or Junior Sous who is ready for the next step in their career, we want someone who is ready to lead a small team and take charge of their kitchen. You would be responsible for a simple operation with simple foods while leading the team to excellence.

What you'll be doing
·  Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu
·  Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner
·  Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature
·  Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly
·  Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers
·  Creating weekly staffing schedules
·  Hiring new team members
·  Coaching and developing your team
·  Keeping accurate records for health and safety and temperature logs

What we're looking for
·  Great teamwork skills and attention to detail
·  Positive outlook and outgoing personality
·  Previous kitchen experience in a similar role
·  A new strong leader full of passion

This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing, sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional appearance in a clean uniform are also required. Prior to employment, we'll ask you to complete safety training and certification.
