The Junior Pastry Chef is a supervisory role, leading a team of cooks including scheduling, delegation of duties, coaching, and training. It is a very hands-on role and will be required to prepare breads and pastries, including preparing dough and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating as appropriate. Other duties include reviewing Production sheet to understand variety of baked goods to be produced daily, preparing and cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, and food prep checklists; maintaining kitchen logs for food safety program compliance, keeping Chef informed of excess food items for planning of daily specials. Junior Pastry Chef will safely and appropriately use baking and measuring tools/equipment/appliances to prepare baked foods, follow and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene procedures; check and ensure correct temperatures of kitchen appliances and food, and report issues to management, monitoring the quality of food prepared. The successful candidates will have a degree or certificate Baking or Pastry Arts, and a minimum of 3 years' experience in pastry and/or bread making. Leadership experience preferred. Must be able to work weekends and holidays, early mornings or later evenings as business requires.

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
