Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Westlands Hotels Limited. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Role Objective
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Information and Communications Technology Manager will be responsible for overseeing and providing high-level support on hardware, software and network systems.
Job Summary
Financial:
• To prepare the Annual ICT Department Budget.
• To establish and maintain good working relationships with hardware and software suppliers and service providers, ensuring contractual responsibilities are met.
• To prepare monthly ICT reports and forecasts and schedule resources accordingly.
• Maintain operating equipment/supplies par level.
Operational:
• Establish/maintain internal controls and ensures compliance with ICT systems
• Inspect and evaluate all ICT Department equipment and supplies regularly and reports status necessary in evaluating efficiency
• Participate in constantly reviewing the current procedures and practices to ensure that the processes are simple for staff.
• To ensure that the hotel is adhering to all ICT Policies and Procedures.
• Conducts random check of ICT-related equipment and installations on the facility daily.
Systems maintenance and Development:
• Responsible for ICT training and development of ICT associates and all other users in the hotel
• Champion optimum usage of existing systems through training and system development work
• Explore system improvement opportunities
ICT Standards and Management:
• Prepare and periodically update strategic plans for ICT development for the hotel
• Develop and prepare major ICT projects, including budget and project timetables; and oversee implementation of approved projects.
• Keep alive the Manual of ICT Policies and Procedures.
Job Requirements:
• University degree in computer science or related field; Post graduate qualification will be an added advantage
• 5 years minimum in a suitable work environment, of which at least 2 in a senior managerial capacity
• Technical certifications

• Ability to prioritize effectively
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
