Reporting to the Director of Human resources, the successful incumbent will be responsible to perform HR related duties as required, whilst maintaining the quality and standards of the Westin Cape Town Hotel in accordance with Marriott International Policies and Procedures within a pressurized environment
Required Experience & Qualifications

Matric
·
Human Resources / Hospitality Qualification preferable
·
Minimum of 2 years' exposure to human resources principles and practices
·
Professional disposition
·
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
·
Strong planning and organizing skills
·
Attention to detail and strong administrative skills

Results and deadline driven
·
Ability to work within a pressurized environment
·
Ability to use Initiative and be proactive

Extensive working knowledge in MS Office in all MS office applications e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
Key Responsibilities
·
Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve commons goals
·
Administer HR related administration in scope of responsibility and/or as required
·
Partner with business to provide support and assistance
·
Facilitate recruitment process from start to end
·
Assist with HR related projects and Learning and Development initiatives as and when required
·
Ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to
·
Handle sensitive issues with employees with tact, respect, diplomacy and confidentiality
·
Actively listen to and consider the concerns of other employees, responding appropriately and effectively
·
Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
·
Create and maintain filing systems as required
·
Respond to questions, requests, and concerns from associates and management regarding company and Human Resources programs, policies and guidelines.

Maintain confidentiality and security of employee and property records, files, and information. Ensure accurate maintenance of all employee records and files e.g. interview documents.
·
Acknowledge and address internal and external guest using clear and professional language;
·
Ensure accuracy in the preparation of written and email communication using appropriate etiquette.
·
Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others;
·
Coordination of pre-hire checks.
·
Coordinate all on-boarding activities for new hires (new hire set-up, job descriptions, paperwork).
·
Maintain and validate all personnel records in HR Systems (PeopleSoft, GRS,)
·
Assist with HR Audits.
·
Perform other reasonable job duties as and when requested
