POSITION SUMMARY
To identify training and development needs of housekeeping associates, provide a consistent high standard of cleanliness to achieve business and department goals.
Housekeeping departmental trainer must drive and communicate Sheraton brand values, Marriott values and ensures all training and development activities are strategically linked to the organization’s mission and vision to ensure the highest levels of operational quality assurance is achieved.
Training programs focus on a variety of topics including product knowledge, company and brand philosophy, health and safety and customer service.
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
· Drives Sheraton values and philosophy and ensures all housekeeping required training and development activities being performed in appropriate manner.
· Collaboration with Housekeeping manager to set up the cleanliness goal and communicate this to associates and demonstrate effective technical and leadership skills.
· Help to identify performance gaps in the department and work required to reach set goal on a weekly, monthly basis.
· Complete appropriate training to improve performance thus improving quality levels received by guests.
· Fulfilling floor supervisor duty while checking and supervising newly trained team member.
· Administers core training initiatives in compliance with corporate training and development standards.
· Promotes and informs associates about all training programs to ensure maximum participation is achieved. Develop and maintains an annual training calendar.
· Maintain a training data base/matrix to track participants, completion lists. Follow up on uncompleted training.
· Coordinates property compliance training programs such as, Power of Clean, COSHH, Crib training and other department relevant training.
· Collaborate with HR in relations to training.
· Develops, and maintains a hotel cleaning program for associates. Ensures individuals are equipped with the necessary knowledge, skills, and confidence to be successful in their role.
· Organise 1 to 1 and groups training sessions.
· To always wear correct uniform and maintain standards of appearance, personal hygiene, behaviour, and discipline.
· Assist in preparation for BSA audits and maintain those standards.
· Diligence in prevention of wastage, recycling and Green room policies.
· Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
· Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited, Regional Office and local policies and procedures.
· Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than 40 hours per week.
