POSITION SUMMARY

The Housekeeping Attendant: 

·  Cleans assigned work area, including but not limited to emptying garbage cans, cleans ashtrays, vacuuming, mopping, dusting and straightening.
·  Cleans and disinfects bathrooms including bathtubs, sinks, toilets, mirrors and tiles.  Replenishes bathroom supplies.
·  All damaged linens are replaced, used linen is stripped and clean linen is placed on beds.  Ensures that mattresses are turned as necessary.
·  Inspects all equipment and report any problems to the housekeeping supervisor.
·  Follows all proper operating instructions of hotel equipment, and that they are cleaned and stored properly after use.
·  Ensures that all trolleys are kept away form walls and doors to avoid marks or damage and that trolleys are kept neat and well supplied.
·  Maintains a safe working environment and be aware of fire fighting and evacuation procedures.
·  Controls and safeguards keys and pass keys.
·  Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses and writing supplies.
·  Reports any signs of infestation to housekeeping supervisor.
·  Other such duties as determined by the company from time to time.
