Groups Co-ordinator (12 Month Maternity Cover)

Job description

Starting in October 2018 this role is for 12 months to cover Maternity Leave.

This role involves taking control of all accommodation only group related bookings, checking availability, quoting rates, sending contracts and ensuring a smooth operation prior to the group arrival.

Being proactive in securing group business, specifically for the Coach and FIT markets.

To maximise all opportunities to sell conferences, functions and events, to act as one point of contact between the client and the hotel at all stages of the booking process from initial enquiry through co ordination and completion of the event.

Play’s an important role in forecasting of group business, analysing potential group slippage and working closely with our remote solutions revenue team to ensure we are maximizing opportunities in both group rate and occupancy. You will also play a vital role in the balancing of room pools for group, ensuring we are managing the inventory as efficiently as possible.

Desired profile

Qualifications :

Experience:
·  Previous experience in a similar operation (preferred)
·  Previous work in a reservations or sales team environment
·  Excellent MARSHA and Yield Management technical skills
·  Strong communicator and presenter with excellent analytical and numerical ability
·  Be a competent user of the GPO Pricing System and SFA Web
·  Previous experience of using Opera Sales & Catering/PMS system.
·  Experience of using E Tools desired but not essential
·  Experience of using Essentials desired but not essential
