POSITION SUMMARY
Transport clubs to/from guest vehicles and/or group buses. Pick up and drop off guest golf bags at bag drop. Provide directions to golfers to golf-related areas. Assist golfers with carts and equipment. Distribute scorecards and pencils to golfers. Remove golf carts from the storage area and stage for play. Remove rental clubs for use by guests, and clean and store them after use. Store, clean, tag, and organize guest clubs in bag room storage. Clean, detail, and restock golf carts after each use. Document any golf cart damage and deficiency for the mechanic's review. Maintain cleanliness of golf-related areas. Maintain lines of communication with the golf shop to ensure the efficiency of course operations and guest satisfaction. Setup/reset/break down practice stations. Pick up/wash balls from the practice facility. Ensure the security of all golf equipment in storage. Notify the manager/supervisor of any important issues as necessary.
Golf Service Experts will be on their feet and moving around (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time; moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces), managing scorecards (reading and visually verifying information), and taking a proactive hands-on approach to work (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance and 100 pounds with assistance; reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination). Doing all these things well (and other reasonable job duties as requested) is critical for Golf Experience Experts – to get it right for our members and guests for our business every time.
The Ideal Candidate must have:
· High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
· Minimum 3 years experience
· Supervisory Experience:
· Member of Professional Golf Institution (BPGA | PGA USA | or other) Golf-related Certification
