Previous experience within a similar style of operation preferred but not essential

Education or Certification

SPECIFIC DUTIES :

SPECIFIC DUTIES
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
·  Ensure all bedrooms correspond with lists given, reporting any discrepancies immediately to housekeeper.
·  Remove all trays out of rooms.
·  Collect clean linen as and when required from store rooms.
·  Identifies reject linen and stores this separately to return to the linen room.
·  Completes one room at a time to the highest standard and in accordance with the room specification.
·  Understand the cleaning schedule and to ensure the correct solvents/cleaning products are used at all times
·  Clean bathrooms to include basins, baths, toilets, mirrors, tiles and floors, etc.
·  Put clean towels in bathroom, folded correctly.
·  Replenish all toiletries as room specification.
·  Dust all furniture etc in bedrooms
·  Hoover all bedrooms
·  Hand immediately any lost property to the Assistant Head housekeeper/ Supervisor, noting time, place and date.
·  Report all maintenance faults to Executive or Deputy Housekeeper.
·  Ensure all rooms are supplied with adequate stationary and hotel information as room specification.
·  Completes any mistakes given by the Supervisor Executive Housekeeper, handing back in at the end of the shift.
·  Fully understand all fire and emergency evacuation procedures.
·  Observes Company and Statutory Health and Safety Regulations.
·  Keeps uniform smart and clean at all times.
·  Attend Departmental meetings, participating when appropriate.
·  Attend any training sessions as identified or requested by Head of Department.
·  To be fully trained and to understand COSHH/Health and Safety.
·  Carry out any other reasonable duties as may be requested from time to time within the scope of the job by the Housekeeper including supporting the public area and leisure club cleaning and linen room when requested.

All Marriott policies on cash, key and all controls are adhered to and followed consistently.

OTHERS:

·  Performs other related tasks as assigned by management.
·  Complies with Marriott International Hotels Limited Regional Office policies and procedures.
·  Working hours as required to do your job but normally not less than your contracted hours.
