BRIEF

Reporting to the Spa Supervisor or in their absence the Spa Manager the Beauty Therapist will provide exceptional service to Spa visitors and guests, performing treatments to required standards and prioritising product knowledge and customer care towards revenue maximisation and repeat business.

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. To prioritise the comfort and wellbeing of clients and guests at all times. To behave in a manner conducive to the atmosphere of the Spa, operating with professionalism and speaking with enthusiasm about the products and services at the Lingfield Park Resort.

2. To work a variety of shifts across a seven day week to meet the needs of the business. Teamwork and flexibility from all team members is key to the successful operation of the facility.

3. To take responsibility for establishing the treatments required during shift and managing time accordingly to ensure rooms, equipment and product trays are prepared in advance, prioritising efficiency, hygiene and presentation towards guest relaxation.

4. Following treatments, to break down and turn around the room ready for the next treatment; cleaning, removing used product and towels and emptying bins as per the check sheets or Standard Operating Procedure.

5. To attend briefing sessions and team meetings as required, and to comply with suggestions to ensure that the best methods, practices and systems of work are used to produce the highest standards of service and presentation.

6. To take responsibility for acquiring accurate product knowledge with regard to facilities, services, treatments and merchandise available. To confidently and appropriately promote merchandised products to clients and guests.

7. To create, maintain and store confidential client records as required.

8. To continually review working practices in each area, challenging historic practices and looking for improved methods of work.

9. To work to high and precise standards continually improving attention to detail and care of the facility in general.

10. To ensure that all product and equipment is used in a safe and proper manner and is stored appropriately.

11. To ensure that prior to using any product or treatment method you have received appropriate training regarding its safe use to brand requirements.

12. To treat equipment responsibly and with respect. Wearing appropriate PPE where appropriate, and prolonging the life of the equipment through proper care.

13. To ensure that any problems found are either dealt with immediately or reported to the Spa Supervisor or Spa Manager.

14. To comply with all Health and Safety procedures associated with the department at all times. This relates to:

·  Standards and procedures of correct working practices
·  The completion of risk assessments
·  COSHH regulations
·  Use of Personal Protective Equipment

15. To control wastage and operate according to the Companies environment policy with regard to:

·  product control and waste minimisation
·  proper care and maintenance of equipment to prolong its life
·  using towels in appropriate quantity to minimise unnecessary laundering
·  proper separation and disposal of cardboard, paper and glass in recycling bins
·  minimising energy wastage by switching off unused lights, heating, PCs and equipment

16. To be an ambassador for Lingfield Park Resort, taking personal responsibility for finding out about our product and services, and at all times striving to represent the Resort in the most professional, courteous and efficient manner possible.

17. To carry out any other tasks requested by the Spa Supervisor or Spa Manager.

PERSON SPECIFICATION GCSE or equivalent

Relevant qualification or NVQ in Beauty Therapy to Level 2 or above

Ideally Elemis trained or willingness to gain Elemis certification




Experience:

Previous Spa experience an advantage

Demonstrable customer service excellence

High standards of personal presentation

Self motivated
