Job description
POSITION SUMMARY
Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc. Set up and maintain cleanliness and condition of counter, tables, and other tools. Set up, stock, and maintain work areas. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Transport supplies to beverage set-up area. Wash soiled glassware. Remove soiled wares from counter and tables and place in designated area. Input orders into cash register system and collect payment from customer. Take orders, record in MICROS system, issue, open, and dispense wine/beer bottles, and prepare food and coffee beverages. Present the order to the guest in a timely manner and within standards. Ensure that appliances (e.g., coffee makers) are turned on/off at the appropriate times. Bus counter areas and tables. Maintain cleanliness and condition of work areas, counter, tables, and other tools, following all set-up guidelines. Wash dishes, utensils, work areas, tables and equipment throughout the day. Obtain change required for expected business level. Count bank at end of shift, complete designated cashier reports, resolve any discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure bank. Secure beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications. Ensure personal appearance and uniforms are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, and support team to reach common goals. Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards. Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines (e.g., to identify defects). Stand, sit, or walk for an extended time period of time or for an entire work shift. Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces. Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Perform all other reasonable job duties as requested.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
