Job Summary
· Ensure that flowers are ordered on time; make sure before you place the order to have the order from all other departments. (Guest Relations, Food & Beverage, Sales, Housekeeping and private orders.)
· Ensure all designated public areas have fresh flowers in clear water and clean vases. To be checked on a daily basis.
· Ensure the courtyard is clean and tidy. Together with the Public Area make sure the courtyard looks cigarette butts, trash and paper free.
· Check on outside plant care and inform housekeeping
· Water all indoor plants as per watering schedule
· Involved in holiday décor (Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day etc.)
· Any request needs to be followed up in a timely manner.
· Helping the Executive Housekeeper/Assistant Executive Housekeeper with the cross charges (C-7) for flowers/plants to other departments.
· Prepare the working table and work accordingly with the requisition received.
· Trim, water and replace individual flowers required.
· Put flowers in all the blocked rooms requiring arrangements from the housekeeping office.
· Ensures before his/her days days-off, flower arrangements of each that are frequently being requested are prepared in case of emergency requirements, last minute.
· Keep flower “shop” continuously clean, locked if not inside or around and key is returned to the housekeeping office. Responsible for the beautification in the lobby or function rooms if required.
· Ensure all vases and props are clean and stored in appropriate manor
· Meet with brides and event contacts when needed and take ownership of assigned weddings or events in busy periods.
· Other tasks that may be assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
· Be aware of the Brand Standards and ensure you delivering compliant service.
· Meet and greet the guest with a smile. Ensure that you are offering assistance at all times. Use the guest name when possible. Try to obtain guest name at every opportunity.
· Use proper telephone etiquette as per the LSOP.
· Attend meetings and participate actively, share best practices.
· Build relationship with retail florists.
· Stay creative (competitive) in design and pricing.
· Always remain positive both in front of guests' and among fellow associates.
· Meet and greet guest with a smile, ensure assistance if offered at all times. Use guest name where possible, try to obtain guest name at every opportunity.
· Due to the nature of our business, you must understand and appreciate that work schedules and demands of the position will vary from time to time.
· Lead by example in always using the correct standard and LSOP for answering the telephone.
· Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
· Complies with all current Marriott standard and local operating policies and procedures

· Maintains superior relations with associates and responds to queries accurately and timely

· Assists in the financial management of the Accommodation function
· Understands the impact of the Accommodation operation on the overall hotel

Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for an extended period across an entire work shift. Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
