Job description
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate must have strong analytical, organizational & communication skills, an excellent approach to customer services as well as exhibit flexibility. He/She must have strong technical skills and knowledge of Excel to the intermediate Level. Knowledge of Accounting systems and MS Office packages is preferred.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position:
Accounts Payable and Receivable
· Dealing with daily invoices, processing weekly dispatches to third party scanning firm
· Invoice coding
· Entry of invoices in to Accounts Payable for certain non-UK countries
· Production of monthly invoices
General Ledger and Balance Sheet
· Assist with monthly journal process by producing and loading journals to the ledger
· Assist the Corporate Statutory Accounting Team with non-UK ledger entries
· Collate back-up for Balance Sheet reconciliations
· Assist in the quarterly Balance Sheet certification process
Bank and Cash
· Assist with any process administration and the collation of data for relevant reports
· Consolidate back-up for bank transactions and reconciliations
· Preparation of payments to various Tax Authorities
Tax
· Assist with any process administration and the collation of data for relevant reports
· Consolidate back-up for VAT returns
· Data entry in to Tax database
Other
· Performs other related tasks as assigned by management
· Complies with Marriott International and policies and procedures and local office SOPs

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
Experience
· Previous office based administration work experience preferred
Skills and Knowledge
· Strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing)
· Previous user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint- Essential and Outlook- preferred
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy of spelling and grammar, layout and content formation essential
· Highly organized and efficient approach required
· Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure best business results
· Ability to deal with sensitive and confidential information in a professional manner
Education or Certification
· A level or equivalent education standard required; degree education preferred
· Demonstrated pursuit of career in Hospitality and/or Finance & Accounting preferred
