JOB SUMMARY: 

The Field Marketing Market Manager Sales  The Field Marketing Manager Sales is responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating B2B and B2C marketing campaigns to support the Market Sales Organization. This role requires a thorough understanding of B2B and B2C sales needs and customer targets to develop effective marketing strategies. The manager will partner with Senior Area and Regional Sales leaders and the Market Sales Organization to create tailored annual marketing plans that ensure a strong return on investment (ROI). Responsibilities include hands-on execution of marketing programs, promotions, and direct mail for both transient and group Market Sales teams, as well as setting key marketing goals and identifying the most effective channels to achieve high KPIs and overall market sales objectives. Additionally, this individual will work with partners to uncover sponsorship opportunities that enhance visibility and drive engagement. This role involves managing the communications calendar and executing content across various channels, including advertising, websites, email marketing, collateral, sales presentations, and videos. Reporting to the Senior Director of Market Sales for the Caribbean and Latin America, this position supports the implementation of marketing strategies within the Market Sales Organizations in CALA. The Marketer ensures all activities are aligned with marketing functions and provides essential support for the successful execution of marketing plans, requiring active involvement in all aspects of the process.

 

CANDIDATE PROFILE 

 

Education and Experience:

·  Bachelor degree required. College (University) degree in marketing, hospitality management, hotels sales or related field - preferred
·  2+ years of experience in equivalent position. Sales and/or B2B Marketing experience- preferred
·  1+ years managerial experience –preferred
·  Project management experience and demonstrated ability to balance the interests and demands of multiple stakeholders
·  Experience in travel or related service industry preferred
·  Excellent technical and project management skills; ability to handle many diverse projects simultaneously
·  Ability to interface fluidly with top Sales leaders, Directors of Marketing, Regional Team, and Vendors
·  Knowledge of photography, production, and print execution
·  Working knowledge of advertising agency procedures
·  Working knowledge of the components of an effective marketing plan
·  Capable of managing monthly financial reports with finance department
·  Able to read and interpret budgets and spreadsheets
·  Graphic Design Software: knowledge of design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Canva for creating marketing materials.
·  Strong working knowledge of key database systems and Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and email marketing platforms (Emma, MailChimp, Epsilon, etc)
·  Detail-oriented, creative, energetic, takes initiative
·  Able to effectively work independently or, at times, as part of a team
·  Good communication skills to be able to update projects in timely manner
·  Fluency of English and Spanish required- strong copywriting skills. Impeccable proofreading skills and outstanding grammar

 

CORE WORK ACTIVITIES 

The following are specific responsibilities and contributions critical to the successful performance of the position: 

 

·  Manages relationships with participating hotels, senior Area and Regional Sales leaders, Market Sales organization, Field Marketing and Regional leadership 
·  Leads and manages market-level marketing planning and execution to verify business targets and key MI/brand strategies are appropriately represented in market sales marketing plans
·  Responsible for developing and executing advertising and email marketing plans and strategies based on customer analysis and segmentation. This role involves hands-on management and implementation of all tasks, The goal is to effectively target market sales partners and customers, both B2B and B2C customers
·  Provides consulting, advice and education on targeted communications on behalf of portfolio of hotels and resorts and provide appealing messages and offers to the right audiences at the right times. 
·  Project management and tracking of open and completed initiatives
·  Provide weekly updates of ongoing marketing projects to the market sales organization
·  Assists in the design of customized annual marketing plan and oversees implementation and execution plans marketing programs, promotions, and direct mail for the transient and group Market Sales team including setting key marketing goals and identifying key marketing channels to be utilized to reach goals
·  Oversee and personally execute the calendar management and development of communications content from various channels, including but not limited to: website, email marketing, collateral, sales presentations, videos, and advertising. This role requires hands-on involvement in all aspects of the process. Develops and implements integrated programs for key market in response to customer needs, market trends, key competitors, brand direction, and stakeholder needs
·  Understands Sales leaders expectations, participating hotels needs, market sales accounts so the best plan can be design to ensure ROI in order to develop effective marketing solutions that meet the expectations and create value for both owners and Marriott International 
·  Oversees adherence to Corporate Advertising and Marketing Communications standards, brand standards, and format guidelines, ensuring tagging, creative, and deployment are accurate 
·  Contributes to overall strategy and ensures that sales communications support regional, portfolio and brand business objectives and goals
·  Develops strong working relationships with outside vendor and accounts to ensure quality, cost effective creative executions

·  Analyzes monthly reports and data pertaining to digital performance and leverages reports to make better decisions and update marketing plan with new initiatives
·  Takes part in sales strategy meetings and identifies gaps and needs, and determines best initiatives for improvement and meeting the needs identified
·  Establishes and builds agreement among team/department members for resource requirements, timeliness and measures of success.
·  Guides Market Sales teams on proper use of corporate identity on printed, promotional and display materials.
