POSITION SUMMARY
Budapest Marriott Hotel welcomes you to Hungary's capital city with modern style and exceptional service and an unbeatable location on the Danube. Tucked along the banks of the Danube River our well known property is near some of Budapests most treasured landmarks from the Chain Bridge to Buda Castle. Intuitively designed rooms and suites all updated in a major renovation offer scenic views of the river. Elsewhere at our hotel you can enjoy a delectable meal at DNB Budapest or breathtaking sunsets from our Liz & Chain Rooftop Bar terrace on the 9th floor. If you are planning an event in Budapest our hotel provides 17000 sq ft of versatile event space and can accommodate conferences for up to 650 guests. Our terrific city center location facilitates exploration and discovery. Visit Vaci utca and the Budapest Christmas Markets with ease.
· Greets guests warmly as they enter the establishment.
· Manages reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
· Guides guests to their tables and hands out menus.
· Answers questions about wait times and makes guests comfortable while they wait.
· Coordinates with the waitstaff to ensure smooth table turnover.
· Keeps track of guest flow and manages the waiting list.
· Thanks guests as they leave and invites them to return.
There are a few things that are critical to success – creating a safe workplace, following company policies and procedures, upholding quality standards, and ensuring your uniform, personal appearance, and communications are professional.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience. Previous experience in a food and beverage environment preferred.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
