Your Main Responsibilities
As a technician, you are responsible for ensuring the smooth technical operation of our hotel. You ensure that all technical systems are in working order, coordinate repairs, and assist both guests and the team with technical issues. In addition, you will be on call as agreed.
Technical Maintenance
· Performing regular inspections and maintenance on electrical, plumbing, heating, and HVAC systems
· Troubleshooting minor technical issues and performing repairs
· Monitoring safety and building management systems
· Ensuring compliance with statutory inspection intervals (e.g., fire safety, elevators, electrical inspections)
· Ensuring that repair and maintenance work is carried out professionally and on schedule (including structural, mechanical, and electrical components)
· Preventive maintenance work in all areas (painting, simple repairs to plumbing and sanitary systems, installation of moldings, etc.)
Guest Services
· Prompt and service-oriented assistance with technical issues in guest rooms or public areas
· Ensuring the highest quality standards for the function and condition of all technical facilities
General Maintenance Tasks
· Minor painting, carpentry, plumbing, or assembly work
· Assistance with renovation projects or event-specific setup and teardown work
· Coordinating external service providers and reviewing their work
· Ensuring compliance with all company policies, standards, and regulatory requirements
· Providing assistance and serving as a point of contact for technical issues for guests, customers, and employees
On-call duty
· Participation in on-call shifts according to the duty roster
· Responsible response to technical emergencies outside regular working hours
· Documentation of assignments and sharing of relevant information
What you should bring to the team
Professional qualifications
·
Completed technical training, ideally as:
- Electrician
- Plumber/Heating Technician
- Building Services Technician
- Mechatronics Technician
- or comparable qualification
· Experience in building services, ideally in the hospitality industry or building management
· Strong knowledge in at least three of the following areas: Electrical, HVAC, Mechanics, Fire Safety, Building Services
Personal Skills
· Service-oriented, friendly demeanor
· Ability to work independently and in a structured manner
· Organizational skills and pragmatic problem-solving
· Willingness to work weekends and on-call shifts
· Excellent written and spoken German and solid written and spoken English; additional languages are a plus
· Good manners and a service-oriented attitude (toward our guests as well as all departments within our establishment)
· Sense of responsibility, flexibility, and a “hands-on” mentality
Required: EU citizenship or a valid work permit for Austria

We are willing to pay above the minimum wage for wage group 3 as stipulated in the collective bargaining agreement, depending on qualifications.
