Job Description
Dual Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dual Maintenance Technician to support the engineering and maintenance operations at Courtyard by Marriott Tampa Oldsmar and Residence Inn by Marriott Tampa Oldsmar. This role ensures the efficient operation, repair, and upkeep of the hotel's facilities, providing a safe and comfortable environment for guests and associates.

What You’ll Do:

Respond promptly to guest repair requests and resolve issues efficiently
Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical systems
Troubleshoot plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electronic systems
Complete general carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and finish work
Repair guest room items such as lamps, electrical outlets, and plumbing fixtures
Use the Lockout/Tagout system before performing any maintenance
Handle and store flammable materials safely
Ensure compliance with brand and property maintenance standards
Locate and manage building utility shut-off valves
Maintain parts and inventory; order supplies as needed
Perform landscaping and sprinkler system maintenance
Operate HVAC computer systems and monitor temperature controls
Collaborate with fellow team members for smooth daily operations
Deliver exceptional guest service when addressing maintenance requests
Communicate ongoing issues or updates with the team effectively

About You:

High school diploma or GED required
Experience in general maintenance, painting, or surface prep preferred
Prior hotel engineering or facility maintenance experience is a plus
Basic working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and carpentry systems
Ability to lift/push/pull items up to 50 lbs independently
Comfortable working on ladders, ramps, and in varied indoor/outdoor conditions
Basic computer literacy to manage schedules and system settings
Valid Driver’s License required
