Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Janus Hotels and Resorts. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Job Summary: We’re seeking a seasoned and energetic Director of Sales to spearhead our sales operations at our dual property Springhill Suites 95 rooms and Fairfield Inn 105 rooms) in the Wisconsin Dells. The ideal candidate will understand the nuance of a resort town, and drive revenue growth, craft strategic sales plans, and build strong relationships within the community and the broader hospitality industry. Deep knowledge of Marriott standards and the hospitality market is essential to deliver outstanding guest experiences and hit financial targets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and execute strategic sales plans to hit hotel revenue targets, maximizing occupancy and average daily rate (ADR).
Market Analysis: Perform comprehensive market research to spot trends, analyze competitor actions, and identify new business opportunities. Use insights to refine sales strategies.
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team to exceed targets. Cultivate a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and high performance.
Client Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong ties with corporate clients, travel agencies, and local businesses. Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Sales Reporting: Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as needed to achieve goals. Provide regular updates to senior management.
Collaboration with Operations: Partner with the hotel operations team to ensure the seamless execution of events and guest services, upholding Marriott’s high standards of hospitality.
Budget Management: Create and manage the sales budget, aligning with overall hotel financial goals. Monitor spending and adjust plans to optimize profitability.
Training and Development: Deliver regular training sessions to the sales team on Marriott standards, industry best practices, and effective sales techniques.
Bachelor’s degree in business, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
Experienced in using Marriott Systems like FOSSE, Salesforce, etc.
Prior experience in a leadership role, preferably in a hotel environment.
Strong understanding of Marriott sales and marketing strategies and systems.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and hotel management software.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
Salary Range $60,00-$70,000 per Anum
5 paid holidays per year
