Additional Information: This hotel is owned and operated by an independent franchisee, Concord Hospitality Enterprises. The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel’s employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc.
Description
We are hiring a Director of Banquets! FT $80,000
Responsibilities:
· Know how to, understand, and direct Group Sales.
· Solicit business, i.e. conventions, sports groups, reunions, etc.
· Train Sales, Account, and Event Managers on their job responsibilities.
· Develop sales strategies for group market segments.
· Develop departmental budget to support group sales revenue.
· Forecast potential group business for the hotel.
· Know how to, understand, and direct Reservation Sales to.
· Set room rates and restrictions to achieve sales, also with input from the General Manager.
· Establish budgeted transient sales goals for the fiscal year (with input from the General Manager)
· Solicit and oversee catering sales efforts of banquet space.
· Train Catering/Sales Managers on their job responsibilities.
· Develop catering/sales strategies.
