Job Summary
Reporting to Chief Development Officer, Greater China, the Director of Affiliation will be responsible for the multi-project partnership development of Marriott International’s hotel brands in Greater China.
The Director of Affiliation identifies and pursues new portfolio development opportunities and supports Development senior leaders to coordinate a multidisciplinary team involved in the review, approval and finalization of contracts for new multi-project partnership. Success in the position demands a driving focus on delivering high-value partnership outcomes and portfolio expansion targets through cross-functional alignment and seamless contract execution for multi-project partnerships.
Expected Contributions

Maintain Existing Strategic Partnerships: Sustain and strengthen strategic partner relationships through regular meetings and structured communication. Proactively advance these partnerships and coordinate with internal departments to resolve issues and obstacles encountered during collaboration.

Portfolio Deal Sourcing and Review: Proactively identify, target, and evaluate hotel affiliation opportunities, with a focus on portfolio deals involving multi-project investors, including conversion, new-build, or acquisition projects. Identify and assess targeted opportunities for strategic fit, including alignment with Marriott’s brand standards, market acceptance, and development outlook.
· Deal Negotiation: Lead/support senior development leaders the negotiation of partnership agreements (e.g., franchise agreements, management contracts, or other strategic partnership agreements). Ensure that all terms and conditions align with Marriott’s operational standards and executive-level requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a liaison between owners and internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and balance owner requirements with internal needs throughout the affiliation lifecycle. Collaborate closely with Brand, Design, Operations, Legal, Feasibility, and other teams on product standards, project improvement plans, operating models, due diligence studies, and market and financial feasibility assessments. Ensure that partnership deals meet owner/investor economics and expectations as well as Marriott International’s brand standards and growth objectives.
· Annual Targets: Achieve annual targets with the signed hotel agreement set by the company.
