Role Overview

The Cook Guest Service Agent is responsible for preparing and cooking high‑quality food items in accordance with recipes, standards, and food safety procedures. This role supports kitchen operations by ensuring ingredients are prepared correctly, maintaining cleanliness, operating kitchen equipment safely, and delivering consistent, high‑quality meals. The position also contributes to a positive team environment and supports overall guest satisfaction.

POSITION SUMMARY

·  Prepare and cook food items by following recipes, portion standards, and quality guidelines.
·  Set up and break down workstations; prepare ingredients through washing, chopping, and measuring.
·  Operate kitchen equipment safely and monitor food and equipment temperatures.
·  Maintain cleanliness by washing and sanitising kitchen areas, tools, and equipment.
·  Ensure food safety compliance and report any maintenance or safety issues.
·  Communicate professionally, support team goals, and maintain high standards of quality and presentation.
·  Perform additional duties as required by Supervisors.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:  

·  Completion of a tertiary qualification in Cookery or Culinary Arts from a recognised training institution in Fiji 
·  Minimum 1 year of experience in a commercial kitchen or similar food preparation role.
·  Good knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food handling, and HACCP‑aligned hygiene practices.
·  Ability to follow recipes accurately, maintain consistency in food quality, and work efficiently during busy service periods.
·  Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team environment.
·  Must have legal working rights in Fiji .
