Chief Engineer (The Westin Dragonara Resort)

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

Manages all engineering/maintenance operations, including maintaining the building, grounds and physical plant with particular attention towards safety, security and asset protection. Accountable for managing the budget, capital expenditure projects, preventative maintenance and energy conservation. Responsible for maintaining regulatory requirements. Leads the emergency response team for all facility issues.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·  Manage property operations and engineering budgets.
·  Lead Engineering & Maintenance teams.
·  Maintain and operate equipment efficiently and safely.
·  Ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures.
·  Handle guest problems and complaints effectively.
·  Supervise day-to-day engineering operations.

Skills and Competencies:

·  Leadership and adaptability.

·  Customer relationship management.
·  Technical skills in equipment maintenance, HVAC, and safety protocols.

Education and Experience

The ideal candidate will have a tertiary level of education in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related field with previous work experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing.
