In a nutshell

This role supports the Brand Portfolio Team with the qualitative and strategic curation of the Design Hotels member portfolio in EMEA. The addition of new, on-strategy hotels, in alignment with the selection criteria, is one of the principal drivers of Design Hotels’ revenue and an important element in evolving the product quality, distribution power and ultimately the brand equity of Design Hotels. 

The Brand Portfolio Coordinator at Design Hotels plays a pivotal role in supporting the team by pre-qualifying and delegating incoming applications and proactively scouting new prospects. This support fuction includes preparing presentations, such as pipeline reports and tailored marketing/pitch materials, maintaining our database, and organize regional and global development meetings. 

Success in the position demands a proactive & organised disposition, an enthusiasm for working on a small, focused team within Design Hotels whilst understanding the wider scope of the Marriott environment, a good brand understanding, excellent communication skills and a passion for design and hospitality.

 

Tasks & Responsibilities

·  Support the acquisition process for new potential member hotels:
·  Pre-evaluation of potential member hotels with supervisor
·  Managememt of development email inbox
·  Proactive online research and market scanning
·  Identification and documentation of relevant information (owner structure, management company, architect & designer, etc.)
·  Correspondence with potential and existing member hotels aligned with standard company procedures
·  Preparation and maintenance of database & acquisition tools
·  Prepare meeting material, in particular the portfolio development status updates, pipeline reporting and internal presentations 
·  Collect & manage global portfolio data for further use in qualitative evaluations, and marketing purposes
·  Preparation & update of external marketing & pitch decks (company presentation, member brochure, case studies, etc.) 
·  Alignment with all relevant departments within the organization to ensure smooth workflow, related to the department objectives
·  Organize, prepare and document notes for regional and global portfolio development meetings & member briefings
·  Perform other related tasks & projects assigned by management

 

Experience & Mindset

·  Affinity for design, lifestyle and brand understanding
·  Strong interpersonal skills, enthusiastic, collaborator, excells in building new relationships
·  Organised/structured and reliable 
·  Analytical and administrative skills with attention for detail
·  Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritize work
·  Team player with fluent English communication skills, additional language is a plus
·  Experience in hospitality industry is a plus
·  Proficiency in different Microsoft Office 365 applications, especially Excel
·  Proficiency with Keynote
·  Bachelor’s degree in Business, Hospitality or related field
