Location
This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises of 295 guest rooms, suites and villas.
Department
Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas is seeking highly skilled, motivated and experienced Food and Beverage Attendants to join our Team. We're looking for someone who is ready to go beyond in everything they do and create memorable experiences for our guests.
R esponsibilities include but not limited to
· Set up, stock, and maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean-as-you-go procedures
· Responsible for the set up, cleaning of the coffee machine and the bar area
· Genuine interest and knowledge of coffee, latte art and beverage
· Notify management of maintenance repairs issues
· Report any employee, guest, and/or vendor incidents and accidents to management and Loss Prevention at the time of the incident and/or accident
· Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol (e.g., TIPs (Training for Intervention Procedures), CARE (Control Alcohol Risks Effectively)
· Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights, locking doors, and completing daily cleaning checklist
· Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
· You are required to clock in and clock out at the beginning and end of each shift (and breaks), in full uniform and/or professional attire, using the hotels time and attendance system and process
To be successful in these positions you will need to possess the following minimum requirements
· F&B Attendant / Restaurant experience within a 5* or high-end environment
· The ability to make complex cocktails and a strong knowledge of beverage options including spirits and wines
· Able to work a 7 day a week rotating roster
· Previous experience essential
· Immaculate grooming standards
· Strong communication skills & attention to detail
· Responsible Service of Alcohol Certificate of Attainment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
Related Work Experience: No related work experience.
Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience.
License or Certification: None
