The Finance Department has responsibility for planning, directing, and managing the provision of accurate, timely, and objective financial data from which informed management decisions can be made. This department recommend remedial action when and where necessary. This position safeguards owner assets by creating and maintaining sound internal control systems.

Job responsibilities will include, but not limited to the following:

Assist the Complex Financial Controller by providing full and accurate actual data, forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel and in other areas where required.

·
Implements and keeps an internal control and audit system which will ensure the efficient supervision of the hotel valuables and revenue along with the regular rendering of operating results.

·
To accurately monitor the book-keeping and auditing functions in the hotel.

·
To conduct financial analysis and define the results of the operation of the hotel.

·
Provide timely and accurate financial statements

·
Ensure all financial regulations are met, through the maintenance of adequate systems of internal control.

·
Assist the Complex Financial Controller in preparing capital reviews as required by the Complex General/Hotel Manager and/or accountancy and Finance department.

·
Train and develop the Finance Team Members and ensure succession Plans are in place.

· Develop financial awareness.
·
Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required.

·
Coordinates and implements accounting work and projects as assigned.

·
Coordinates, implements and follows up on Accounting SOP audits for all areas of the property.

·
Generates and provides accurate and timely results in the form of reports,

· Presentations, etc.

Maintains a strong accounting and operational control environment to

· Safeguard assets.
· Completes period end function each period.
·
Provide direction and assistance to other organizational units regarding accounting and budgeting policies and procedures, and efficient control and utilization of financial resources.

·
Ensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, and reditor/accruals accounting records.

·
Provide periodic reports to the Finance department.

Desired profile



Qualifications :

To move into this position you should have

·  Tenure in current position minimum one year
· 
4-year bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting.

· 
Previous experience in the Account/Finance Management in five stars

·  Hotels.
·  Must have experience in high volume operation.
· 
Previous Marriott / Starwood experience is an advantage.

·  Previous UAE experience is an advantage.
· 
Full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures.

· 
Strong influencing, leadership skills, inter-personal and communication

·  Skills.
·  Excellent analytical skills.
· 
Experience in the hotel, leisure or retail sector.

·  Excellent supervisory experience.
