ACTIVITIES
The following are specific critical responsibilities and contributions for successful performance in the position:
• Know and ensure up-to-date knowledge of Marriott policies and procedures, as well as audit requirements.
• Support and train Finance Managers of assigned Central Office hotels in all matters related to Marriott Internal Controls.
• Follow up with Central Office hotels on updates or new processes in Marriott audits.
• Train hotel Directors and Managers in different areas on Marriott audits during hotel openings.
• Train hotel Directors, Managers, and Supervisors on all Internal Controls procedures during hotel openings.
• Provide training and onboarding to new Finance Managers at properties on information related to Internal Controls, such as audits, LSOP, checkbook, EP&L, MIP-66, use of formats and platforms, etc.
• Supervise and conduct turnovers of Finance Managers in all matters related to Internal Controls.
• Schedule trips to Central Office hotels to provide training and follow up on pending issues related to Internal Controls.
• Schedule trips to conduct pre-audits at hotels with scheduled official Marriott audit dates.
• Ensure MIP-66 reports from assigned hotels are submitted on time each quarter.
• Support hotels in the bidding process to ensure all hotels have updated and signed contracts.
• Support the application of Self-Audits at assigned hotels and ensure Marriott audits are conducted and uploaded on time to the Quickbase platform.
• Supervise and follow up with assigned hotels on Over&Short reports sent daily by the Central Office of income.
• Support month-end closures for SUN and PS hotels.
• Weekly review if AP OCs comply with corresponding quotes according to their amounts or supplier certification as applicable.
• Supervise, review, and follow up on information requested to be uploaded monthly to the Internal Controls folder, such as audits, cash counts, contracts, minutes, courses, MRDW reports, supplier tracking, etc., from Central Office hotels.
